Took a while to figure out how to do this, but pretty sure I've cracked it. Seems it was not as straightforward as just amending the manifest. So after having done some research I came across these issues and PRS that offer up some ideas on how to solve this.
I have no way of testing this, as have no access to Github Enterprise URLs, but have opened discussions on Github to gather feedback for various things, including this feature.
